I am a professor in the Department of Political Science at Binghamton University, where I have been since 2004. I teach and do research on international relations. I am especially interested in the influence of domestic political and economic considerations on foreign policy, especially decisions about trade policy, military spending, the use of force, and alliance formation. I have taught classes about American foreign policy, international conflict, and a variety of other issues in the field.
